History

This In Pit Crusher and Conveyor System was Commissioned by Rio Tinto in 2009 at the Clermont Mine in Central Queensland Australia.

This IPCC has less than 10,000 operating hours.

At the time it was the Worlds Largest IPCC System.

The Clermont Mine was sold and when the new owners took possession, the IPCC was decommissioned and placed under a care and maintenance program.

IPCC Operations

Designed to Crush and Convey Overburden or Ore at 10,000tph.

The IPCC system can crush and transfer overburden via conveyors of up to 5 km to the dump area. Reducing the number of haul trucks and expensive hauling costs.

IPCC mobile crusher can handle both ore and overburden material.

What’s Included?

This 10,000 tph mobile system consists of:

  • Mobile Sizing Rig (MSR), inc. Abon Sizer

  • 5km of overland conveyor

  • Mobile Transport Crawler (MTC), 420t capacity

  • Mobile Tripper & Spreader (MTS), inc. Operator Station

  • Including a significant list of Critical Spare Parts (CSP)

What’s the Value/Benefits?

  1. 38% Reduction in CO2-e emissions

  2. Reduction in OPEX by USD $5M p/a

  3. Operational within 12 months!

  4. Reduced spare part requirements

  5. Less fossil fuel dependent using clean electrical power.

Pulling forward your production schedule by one year creates value of between USD $0.4B - $1.4B NPV8 depending on product type.

Additional Benefits:

  • Productivity Benefits

Reduced pit congestion leading to higher efficiency from remaining assets.

  • Health & Safety Improvement

Reduced traffic interaction with less people exposed to hazards.

  • Community Stewardship
